How do I transfer an existing domain name?
It's quite easy for you, emerion assists you in transferring your domain name to us. Start the transfer by clicking on the button "order now". Enter the domain name in the text field and proceed with the order. If the domain is taken you will be asked if you like to start a transfer. Once your order is finished and confirmed we start the transfer process.
Please note: A transfer is not possible without an agreement of the domain owner and an email will be sent to him. The email address of the administrative contact as it is shown up in the WHOIS database must be valid. If the email address does not work, you can try to modify it with the current provider or registrar. Once the domain name is transferred to us, you can modify the contact information online easily in the ControlPanel.

Some TLD's have different processes to transfer a domain name. You never have to care about it, we start the corresponding procedure and and assist you while transferring the domain name.

What about the costs of a domain name transfer?
If you order a hosting product the transfer is free of charge. If you select "Domain Parking" the yearly domain name fee of the appropriate domain name applies.

Where can I find the WHOIS information?
Use our domain availability check on the top of our pages, enter the domain name in the query box and click on go. The entered name will be looked up for the selected Top-Level-Domain as well as for four other TLD's. If any of the looked up names are taken, a link "Get Information" will appear. You can click on it and you will see the WHOIS output of this domain name.
