The state-of-the-art datacenter maintained by one of the
worldwide and industry leading backbone providers is located downtown in
Vienna/Austria where we are connected with dual Cisco 12000 routers directly
on the redundant OC-12 backbone which can be scaled
to OC-192 capacity to ensure complete redundancy and maximum uptime.
The network is designed to avoid any single point of failure.
Network
The network has 100% high-speed bandwith performance and we have
enough capacity that you can be assured that traffic during peak hours or
unexpected spikes will never affect your needed bandwith. The switches in the
datacenter are connected via fiber, this allows to scale the bandwith as needed.
With peering agreements with all Tier 1 providers as well as
a public peering on the VIX (Vienna Internet Exchange) and a private peering with
Chello the local and international speed and reliability is ensured.
The routing is based on BGP-4 Routing enhanced with ISIS (Intermediate Sytem to Intermediate
System). This technology minimizes the runtime of packages between routers.
emerions's internal network is based on a 100% switch-based 100Mbit/s Fast
Ethernet using the latest HP switches.
Datacenter
The datacenter provides the physical environment necessary to keep our
hosting systems up and running 24 hours a day. The world-class facility
is designed with raised floors, redundant temperature control systems,
redundant circuits, backed up with dual UPS and dual
diesel generators and redundant pre-action fire suppression systems using
FM200 gas. The NOC (Network Operations Center) staff monitors the systems
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They can get in contact
with our systems administration at any time if necessary.
Physical Security
The physical access to our systems is allowed only for emerion system
administration staff by electronic keys. Access is monitored by video camera
surveillance and motion sensors and security guards.
Network Security
For network security we provide firewalls, systemwatch and constant
network monitoring by administrators to prevent malicious
activity.
