1.
What is the domain name fee?
There is a one time fee for the registration depending on the Top Level Domain, the most TLDs have no one time fee, that means the registration is free of charge. Once the year you will receive a renewal fee for the domain name if it is not included in the hosting plan.
While ordering the current price is shown in the shopping cart. An overview of the one time registration fees of each Top Level Domain can be found in the pricelist.

2.
Who will be the domain owner?
The domain owner is always you. You have to provide us with the contact information in the ordering process. This information will be used for the domain owner and he has the right of disposal of the registered domain name.

3.
When is the domain considered as reserved?
You will get an email where we confirm that the domain name has been registered. At the time you receive that email from us, it is ensured, that the domain name has been registered for you.

4.
How long does it take to register my domain name?
Usually it takes a few hours after you have confirmed the order. Sometimes, depending on the Top Level Domain it can take longer. For example the .at registry does not work on weekends, and if they do not respond on registrations we cannot confirm it, but most of the domains we register are completed within 10 minutes and 5 hours.

You can create email addresses instantly and configure all your related services in realtime.

I just want to have the name reserved, nothing else. How to do so?
A domain name cannot only be reserved. You must register the domain. There are several technical requirements we fullfill for you to register a domain and for each successful registered domain the one time registration fee applies.
If you just like to register the domain and you do not need services we recommend the product "Domainparking". Using this product your domain name is registered and you pay the lowest possible fees, the onetime registration fee for Domainparking and the yearly renewal fee. Also if you run your own name servers "Domainparking" will be the right choice. You can modify the name servers online in the ControlPanel.
If you need services for you domain like email, webspace and so on, we recommend to select one of our hosting products. Once if you have selected a hosting product the yearly domain name fee does not apply, because this fee is included in each hosting plan.

I'm having my own server, I only need the registration. Is this possible?
Yes, of course, you can do so! Select between our domain products, "Domain Parking" or "Domain Hosting". If you operate your own name servers "Domain Parking" will be the most favorable solution. You can modify the name servers online in the ControlPanel.
If we should provide you only with the name service, "Domain Hosting" will be the appropriate product. This product enables you to modify all entries in the zone file online in the ControlPanel.

8.
Can I edit the zone file?
Yes, you can! The product "Domain Hosting" enables you to edit the zone file. You can manage the zone of your domain in the ControlPanel, without deeper knowledge of the DNS service. You can add unlimited IP-based subdomains and modify mail- and webservers in a human interface in the ControlPanel in realtime.

9.
Can I modify the contact information?
It would not be an emerion domain if you can't do that. Actually, you have a ControlPanel where you can modify the contact information in realtime. As we say, our ControlPanel is a management center of your administrative and technical requirements, and it is matter of course that this service is free of charge.

10.
I have got an email to renew my domain, otherwise I will loose it, what do I have to do?
Check the domain name. Do you have the domain name manageable in the ControlPanel? Actually if the domain name is listed in the ControlPanel, be aware, never pay such bills! If you have got such unsolicited email or postal mail and you host your domain with us, this is fraud of a not trusted company.
Please contact our support immediately in this case.
Please note: As long as you host your domain with us, you never will loose it.

11.
I like to register a domain, which fee applies?
It depends on the selected product:
If you decide for "Domainparking" the one time fee for the domain registration applies as shown on the pricelist for Domainparking. This fee always covers a one year (for some Top Level Domains a two year) registration period. On the expiration date of the domain name, the renewal fee is due.
If you decide for any of our hosting products, the one time fee for the domain registration applies as shown on the pricelist for hosting products and the monthly fee for the selected hosting product. The renewal fee for the domain name is included in the price of the hosting product.
